LNG Allies Supports the DOMINANCE Act

The commercial foundation for USLNG as a tool of American statecraft is firmly in place. The diplomatic architecture to match it is not—yet. LNG Allies wrote to the House Foreign Affairs Committee ahead of its May 13 markup of H.R. 7037, the Developing Overseas Mineral Investments and New Allied Networks for Critical Energies Act (DOMINANCE Act), urging prompt approval. The Energy Security Compact mechanism in Title II and the elevation of energy diplomacy within the State Department under Title III are precisely the government-to-government frameworks that America’s European and Indo-Pacific allies have said they need to make long-term USLNG supply arrangements durable across administrations.
