Transatlantic Bridge Awards 2026

At the EU Ambassador’s Residence: The 2026 Transatlantic Bridge Awards

On the evening of May 13, LNG Allies President Fred Hutchison attended the 2026 Transatlantic Bridge Awards ceremony at the residence of the EU Ambassador to the United States.

It was a personal occasion as much as a professional one. Fred was among the four honorees recognized by EU Ambassador Jovita Neliupšienė at the 2025 ceremony—honored for LNG Allies’ work building the transatlantic energy security architecture that has replaced Russian gas with USLNG across Europe. Returning this year as a guest, to watch the next class of honorees receive the same recognition, was a privilege.

The 2026 honorees—Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware, Gov. Spencer Cox of Utah, Jillian Manus of SHIELD Capital, and vocalist and cultural ambassador Dee Dee Bridgewater—each delivered powerful, personal, and poignant acceptance speeches. The breadth of the honoree class speaks to the depth of the transatlantic relationship: legislative leadership, executive leadership, venture capital, and the arts, all in the same room, all committed to the same partnership.

For Fred, the evening carried special resonance. The energy security work that earned our recognition in 2025 continues. 29 nations. 130 long-term contracts. A ninth USLNG export terminal commissioning. The bridge keeps getting stronger.

Congratulations to Sen. Coons, Gov. Cox, Jillian Manus, and Dee Dee Bridgewater on a well-deserved honor.
