Commonwealth LNG Decision Reconsidered by FERC

Appeals Court Sends Commonwealth LNG Decision Back to FERC (American Press)
Rita Lebleu (July 19): The U.S. Court of Appeals of the DC District has ruled that FERC failed to fully assess the cumulative and direct environmental and health impacts caused by Commonwealth LNG. The decision, spurred by lawsuits filed last year by Sierra Club, returns the decision to FERC for reconsideration. The export terminal is scheduled to be built on the west bank of the Calcasieu Ship Channel in Cameron Parish. Commonwealth LNG has cooperated with FERC throughout the development of the facility and will continue to provide all relevant data during the reassessment process. They aim to make a FID on the project in H1-25, allowing them to begin producing LNG in 2028. Link to Content
