USLNG Exports Set Record in 2021
USLNG Exports Grow By 50% (EIA)
Natural Gas Weekly (March 16): USLNG exports set a new record high in 2021, averaging 9.7 bcf/d—an increase of 3.2 bcf/d (50%) compared with the 2020 annual average. The increase in USLNG exports was driven by increased demand in Europe and Asia (particularly China), as well as by expanding liquefaction capacity.
In 2021, annual utilization of liquefaction capacity at the six USLNG export terminals averaged 102% of nameplate capacity and 89% of peak capacity, according to our estimates.
